3 made it ok?! Everything I read said that 3 died and one was missing. Isn’t 4 the full crew of the HH-65 if so that would make all souls lost?
I’m with the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) and am saddened to hear about the USCG helo crew. My condolences to the family and friends of the crew and to the USGC as well. There’s nothing you can say to express the sadness of this type of loss.
There was a similar accident in Canada back in July 2006 off Canso Nova Scotia I think, where a Canadian military SAR helo, CH149 Cormorant went down while on a hoist training exercise with a CG auxiliary vessel. 3 were killed, 4 were injured.
