Fugeddaboutit! :D
I'd say Jimmy Olsen had bad days too, but other folks missed it as well.

It's something 5151ts does..I look for it in his posts. What a flukey bunch we can be!!!

Sorry for the Coasties who didn't make it and I'm glad that 3 made it OK. We rely on them here on the
Bay quite abit. I hear the Dauphin's in all weather...brave folks, often risking their lives for
the clueless who've plunged blindley forward into harms way.

3 made it ok?! Everything I read said that 3 died and one was missing. Isn’t 4 the full crew of the HH-65 if so that would make all souls lost?

I’m with the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) and am saddened to hear about the USCG helo crew. My condolences to the family and friends of the crew and to the USGC as well. There’s nothing you can say to express the sadness of this type of loss.

There was a similar accident in Canada back in July 2006 off Canso Nova Scotia I think, where a Canadian military SAR helo, CH149 Cormorant went down while on a hoist training exercise with a CG auxiliary vessel. 3 were killed, 4 were injured.

Thanks BLR..I'm doing too many things at once. Sorry for the families of the lost. Fingers crossed for
the 1 still missing.

2 in my family were Coasties, one was surf rescue boats in Oregon and the other was cutters west coast.

You folks put your lives at risk on a daily basis...and that's just puting out to sea in everyday conditions. Thank you for your service!

Apologies to Thomas and the others..
