That plane looks beautiful. A little shinier than the original I'm thinkin'... but still beautiful.

A little confused here. Are you identifying the 51 in this thread as Sal Rubino's N51PW? Afraid not, same FG but the 51 discussed here is N286JB.

Just curious, is that an AN-104 antenna behind the cockpit of this P-51? If so, why is it bare wood? The AN-104's I have seen (like on my L-5G) are wood with a steel cover. I have seen this bare wood antenna on this mustang and another in england... is that correct? Not trying to be nit-picky just curious...

If I'm not mistaken I think Evergreen's P-51 has a bare wood antenna as well. Not sure how original it is though.

Here is our -724. It is a magazine rack. This is being set up as a hybrid with -9 blower and pan. That way it fits properly under the hood. I know of others who have used a -724 quite successfully in a P-51.

I remember when Max Ramsey had the EV 51 and when it was built at Unlimited. Then I ended up doing a bit of maint and a polish to it the few months I worked at Marana.
