Is it possible this was a training mission stateside? I have color movie film taken by a 91st B-17 pilot who got shots on training formations, and if you didn't see the film label you'd never know it wasn't in combat, just flying formations high in the air...

It is an awesome image, but I'm not seeing frea, just a guy concentrtrating at someone else. When you twist way around like taht, and have to roll your eyes over to the far extreme right, it's gonna just deform your look.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I just think there's enough about the pic to make it a good one without reading anything into it. What position is he at, and whatr's behind him, and also, what is taht wire stretched to his right?
