Most definitely! Have you not heard of famed CAF hero "Fatty" Chow?

I've heard the rumors of those airframes for nearly 20 years now. Never met or talked with anyone that has ever seen them or has actual knowledge of their exsistance. If they do exsist, they would have to be a couple of the damaged airframes shipped back to the states for repair, but if I remember correctly, they all can be pretty well accounted for.

As to commanality with BT-13/15, there isn't much other than interior furnishings and some systems parts. The original plan was that the BT's, the Model 48 and one other aircraft would share quite a few componets. By the time the P-66 production was started, this ended up being very few items. THe -66 has nearly 3 times the horsepower and well over 100kts greater Vne.

I've got a full set of prints and I think a copy of the engineering analysis for the production aircraft in my library.

As I remember the story, The guy that found the P-66s in ND died by accidently electrouting himself working on a radio in bed. He ran the Vultee Assoc.

Dan: I'm actually making progress towards that. If I can get the trailer redecked this week, the nacelles for the AT and my big nibbler will get moved from the old house to the new one this weekend. I've got to finish a couple of household projects around here and then I can start on reassembling the shop tools. Pictures will be forth coming as things get moved.
