If you are lookinhg for that exacting of a restoration, I would think that the color shift from digital cameras, your monitor/printer/scanner, etc. would be an issue. Better to match from the original parts (and hope they weren't sun-faded).

The problem that I am having is that I need the exact Chromate yellow that is used as a base, the rest is cake. Everything on a L-5 is based on Stinsons chromate yellow. If I can find that I'm good. Yes the original part would be best, but even those fade over time, like I said earlier there is no 100% I learned that when we built a P-63 that we tried to make exact. Hell Bell Aircraft told me they never built a fixed wing aircraft.
