No, no, no...there is a way around that. Just make sure your loved ones are posing with a warbird.

I my case it is a plane, train, automobile, ship, submarine, helicopter, steam tractor, spacecraft...

Well let me take the test.

1.) Grew up around Round engines.
2.) Dad and I went out a door at the same time to see my uncle go by in his H18.
3.)At 7 yrs old, I run outside waving my hands while a UH-1 shoots an approach into the airstrip we lived on, hovers in my back yard and I jump up and down like seeing Santa at xmas time.
4.) At 10 yrs old riding a beech 18 freighter with no seat for me and running foreward and back making gun noises as a Nord makes runs on us at the VAC airshow in the 80's.
5.) My play airplane.
Image
6.) Yep I have a pic of my wife with a warbird.

Did I pass!!!!

In "The Summer of 69" I'm 12yo, Airport in Bethalto Illinois had a " P-51 Tournament". I live close. Corsair, Hellcat and I don't remember what the other two planes were, fly over , oh so low and slow.
DAD! DAD! DAD!

I didn't know this post was going to be so popular....I'll add some more:

...no money, and packed with fuel receipts.

1. I grew up around the Western Warbirds in NW Canada, my father was a flying member with a Hvd MK 4. To get an airplane ride, I would clean the oil/dirt off the planes after landing....I drew the line at JCJ's B-25.
2. It was my wife's idea to have our Wedding in the Alberta-Reynolds Museum...theme of the day "Warbirds"

...our cake:

...down the aisle (My father owned the Yale before it's restoration)

...My beautiful bride and I under the wing of a DC-3. You can't get more romantic than this!

If you've got pictures of a 262, Mustang and T-6 on your desk at work (non-aviation related job). And if you've got T-6 parts in the garage and Mustang junk in the attic...
