Not at all... most of the airplanes had some kind of heater... the C-47 had a steam heat system... that being said most of the systems were a pain to maintain and didn't work well (what I didn't say about the P-38 heater is that your feet get REALLY cold... even more than your right side).... and they've been taken out of most survivors...
Heat is always a problem... but that doesn't mean it has been overlooked...
