You know there were quite a few in the old days who were moonlighting with warbirds !

A few more come to mind, Fat Cat, Tired Iron Racing, Junior, etc...

Rick, I was involved with Tired Iron Racing Team, not as a member, but the man who taught me to fly the Spitfire flew, and won with them. I flew with them at shows, and joined them socially. I NEVER heard or saw any hint of drugs. Now, it is possible, but I have my doubts about that. In those days the oil business was pretty good and could support some nice airplanes. Also, while we never talked politics or even lifestyles at all, these guys seemed to me to be pretty much on the straight path. They were crazy, fun loving in a practical jokes kind of way, but I never saw even a suggestion of any sort of drug type alternate lifestyle. And believe me, living in Austin and Aspen, I saw plenty of it in other people. Also these guys were professional pilots, Earl for instance flew Falcon jets for US West, the phone co., and I think they took their flying very seriously.

It is possible it was there, and I never saw or heard about it, but I don't think so. Those guys were great fun, welcomed me, when I got into warbirds and I miss them.

And what happened to the P-51 in the Gulf?

I hung around the Fat Cat team and I never seen any sign of that, do you have proof ? There is no doubt about the Whittingtons and Levits, but if you throw other names out there, back up your statements, and not from a friend of a friend who knew someone who saw something.

I hope you were trying to make a joke with this statement. Selling drugs can not be justified by anything.

Kenylco. Does being a good pilot validate illegal behavior to support a hobby? I don;t think so. But then again I also believe in the death penalty. Lets not make heros out of criminals because we like their toys.

Jack, you're right. The truth is out there and it is publiic.

IF I told you guys that I spent time. would you still like to read my post's and check my Pic's out???
