Im not a huge fan of SOD Gates and wasn't happy when Obama kept him in place. He is responsible for the taking F22 money and using it to order more of the "jack of all trades master of none" F23 JSF. Now the Air Force has to make due with 180 or so F22s and fly F15s into a 50 year service life while India, Pakistan, China and others get 5th generation fighters.

the words "indefinitely" with regards to keeping Gates and "he deems unnecessary" scare the poop out of me.

Now lets remember the 60 minutes show in about 1994 or so about all the WWII stuff that was still stored in some massive buildings. They could have one large surplus sale and make some $. especailly on all the airplane parts they have.

Much to do about nothin.18 mil to store this stuff?Come on there is so much more money pissed away on the study of this or that. This story has one reason and one reason only and that is to ignore the serious wasteful spending and to go after the military as the only ones who are wasteful.Does the speaker of the house really need her own triple 7 to fly back and forth to california every weekend. How about riding the dog or maybe a broom? Unreal.
