Does any WIXER have a list of the warbirds attending this years conference?
It is confusing when some are painted the same as others such as the POF P-40N still in the movie "Valkyrie" paint scheme and with two P-51s painted as "Double Trouble Two". An accurate id for my records would greatly be appreciated.

Great air-to-air Vlado, Thanks for posting. I like your camera angles much better than mine. Which P-51 were you flying in?

Bill:
I mostly flew Double Trouble. But, on the day you took your pix, I was in the TF-51 and Dan was in DTrouble.
Thx,
VL

Great A2A shots Vlado. It really gives a neat perspective on the Heritage Flights 99% of us wouldn't see otherwise! 8)

Who's F-4 is that? I didn't know there were any flying with the sharkmouth?
Neat to see the 3 era's of sharkmouths there.

Thank you.
The F-4s are all USAF QF-4Es. Two from Tyndall and two from Holloman.
One was painted as Robin Olds' bird............
Robin was a frequent visitor to the conference. He would always walk in 'unannounced' and just mingle around with all the troops on the ramp. You could tell that he really enjoyed being amoungst the crews, enlisted and officers alike. Us 'oldsters' out there, really miss him.

I like those much better than any "official" Heritage Flight photos I've seen. Do you have any more?

Sure looks like a QF-4 based on the bad forward visibility :)

Naturally, I was in the P-51!
(That pix was taken from inside the QF-4, using my camera.)
