Well seeing as Flypast in recent times has lost the picture posting facility and seeing how we're always so welcome here, that ain't a bad idea.

the meal was superb, thank you.
Vanessa and I really enjoyed it very much.
It was at a long established Italian place close to where we live.
They do a wonderful Mussels in Garlic, although Mrs Aib went for the large field mushrooms in garlic and herb sauce for a starter and a pasta dish for main.
Very good.

I'm also getting to like WIX more and more.

Not to be too picky, but that crashed Spit image is off Steve Brew's 41 Squadron site I take it. Same size etc. Since I sent it to him, it looked kinda familiar. Another one of those might be nice if someone asked first bits?

All done, now just waiting for the paperwork. It is a real pain, the PFA wanted to see it before signing off the modfications which is fair enough but took nearly two weeks (which is excellent service, just slower than I would have liked!) and the inspector is now away for a week so I can't get the paperwork off. Then, horror of horrors, I find that since it is the first of its type on the register, the permit to test application has to go to the CAA. Again that is fair enough as they support the PFA very well and it is good to do things properly, but I am getting jumpy and that all adds time.

The inspection on Friday was fun. He wanted me to add a 'P' clip to clamp the throttle in two places rather than one and there were a couple of minor fixes, security clips on two push connections on the pitot pipes (that I had actually forgotten, and some extra security on one of the inspection panels.

I now have an airworthy aeroplane and not enough paperwork.

Frustrating as I wanted to have flown it before you got here.

It ain't for lack of trying though.

I bet you did, I bet you did...

No problem if it's just the paperwork you're waiting for. In my experience I've found that very few airplanes can read.
