And by the way, the Air Zoo was busy that day. I had to go back and get most of my pics on the way out. I mean just a ton of people. No special events or anything.

One of my Dad's customers in Elkhart, IN served in the Air Corps in the Africa front (I don't know if he was a mechanic or pilot) but he did say that the P-40's would fade to a shade of pink after being in the desert awhile but he couldn't remember it ever being that bright of pink nor could he remember that big of eyelashes on the eyes of their planes.

I used to love seeing that P-40 at airshows when I was kid, it was just so different from everything else out there, without being painted in a straight civilian livery. Very unique.

That P-40 is BY FAR my daughter's favorite aircraft. She is 3 and loves everything pink and she also loves the "Shark Airplanes." You should have seen her face the first time we went there with her. "Oooh look Daddy, a PINK Shark Airplane..." It was priceless.
