I am glad, I had already taken my blood pressure pill before I read that letter, from that narrow minded, unappreciative, disrespectful, a-hole, sent to Mr Billing. Its nothing less than shameful, to treat someone in this manner.
I do believe that a Fly-In is called for, with lots of press coverage. Invite every veterans organization you can think of, & all the local politicians.
This kind of crap must not be tolerated.
I only wrote this reply after researching every published article on this matter I could find via the internet.
I wish you the best Jerry Billing. Thank God for men like you.

Excellent idea...nothing gets a politicians attention better than bad press...even better effect if it's negative national
and international exposure! I hope some folks can really make this happen for Mr. Billings!

Not so proud that they'd sign their name though. I'm SO surprised. Anyone want to donate to a private detective fund to find out? :)

The Billings appreciate the kind words, I spent the yesterday their helping son Erik tear down the well pump house, to be rebuilt this weekend. I talked to Jerry and Erik about a fly-in and they thought it would be a good idea. Would be nice to see some local pilots organize this in support of Jerry's air strip, lots of history at that strip since its creation in 1968. Over the years Jerry did lots to support various organizations with the flying of the Spitfire.

I hope this letter made it to the press!! Better yet, to veterean's affairs.

Canadian DVA don't do much to help Jerry other than slash his pension so their is no help from them, they probally would get a good laugh from the letter

Cheers Dave C
