They still list the So Cal wing CAF Hellcat. I'm not counting on it but hope to be pleasantly surprised.

On the So Cal CAF website they list our airshow on their flight schedule, even says the Hellcat will be the plane to attend :)

Oh I have no doubt about the scheduling, it's just that CA is along way from Geneseo! I guess I've learned not to expect too much with these 'ol birds. But, like I said when I get to the field I hope to be pleasantly surprised by the sight of a Hellcat! There were a few P-40 no shows last year (I was hoping to see Rudy Banta's ex Doc Andersons and Kermit's TP-40N) but that didn't take away from the show we had, no way!

Austin, can you comment however on Rich's comment heard from the SBD driver? Why was the invitation canceled? To me the SBD is one of the Navy types that would make the show complete? Since the F4F pulled out is there room for reconsideration?

Pete

Just to clarify, the statement by the SBD pilot was directed to me (not something I overheard) as we were discussing an air-to-air shoot at Geneseo.
Also, it's Tony Banta who owns the former Bill Anderson P-40.

Rich
