no alarm system for the museum?? the thieves must have been pretty brazen if they were able to deactivate it if one was present & armed, unless it was an inside job.

Hey Taigh: Any serial numbers or other distinguishing marks we can circulate. I was going to post over at 1919A4.com and M2HB to let all of those guys know to keep an eye out for the stuff. Sorry to hear about this but we all need to be thinking about it.

Obviously, the idiots thought they were stealing live weapons, which means they really are clueless about what they grabbed. The .50 being an operational semi though does make this a felony with the BATFE on its own. If they're caught, they're toast. :crispy:

Idiots. I hope the get the maximum penalty once they are caught.

Taigh, you may want to notify the people at Ebay and Craigs list so they can be aware of it too. Sometimes people will post stolen items to get rid of them quickly.

Taigh,

That is horrible to hear. Sadly it was likely someone that knew exactly where to go to get the stuff. You have always been really welcoming to people who come around and it is sad to think that you can't trust those we invite in. We have been victim of this sort of thing as well too many times. I hope the find them.

I have put together a web site with photos, descriptions and serial numbers of the things that were stolen from our museum, the Stockton Field Aviation Museum, and our shop. Here is the link:

We really appreciate you all keeping an eye out for this gear. Some of this stuff is pretty rare and will stand out like a sore thumb should it come out into the light.

I am offering a reward for the safe return of this equipment and we will buy it back if need be. We just want it back!

Thanks again for your help,

Taigh
