When I last looked over the aircraft, the B-29 had some really horrible repairs, some using wood screws.

I cringe every time I look at the F-105. In the early 1990s, the Museum decided to "refurbish" it. The guy they hired had never worked on aircraft, and was using a DA sander with 80 grit discs to remove the paint. There was more aluminum dust on the ground than paint dust.

I told him he was damaging the aircraft, but he ignored me. I tried to get the museum people to get involved, but they weren't interested.

That's pretty cool that the B-29 is a 509th vet, even if it is post-war.

That IS a CRIME; the question is whether or not you can prosecute or sue! In reality, people like that (both the "guy they hired" and the "museum people") should be shot. If we aren't allowed to shoot them, we ought to be allowed to send them back to Burger King to flop Whoppers for a living instead.

No disrespect here to the working folk. Sad to hear on the 105.
