So, which one is this?
The Buchon that had the landing incident in the UK when making the Pearl Harbor movie back in 2001.

Thanks. That would make it N700E, the former Harold Beal, and Don Whittington Buchon.

Fantastic shots! I can tell from this pic:

that they've cleaned up the "scrapyard" and pulled the aircraft out to the tarmac, which is awesome... this FJ-3 was one of my favorite "finds" out there, along with the early F-8 and the JRF-84. Thanks for the super closeups of Glacier Girl!

You're welcome...I only get out there about every 6 months. Monday was a good day.

Thanks for sharing the great shots of the vintage aircraft. I am looking forward to my first visit to Chino next May for the annual air show.

It was great to see Ed Shipley's former Sabre. It looks as shiny as ever. I hope we will be able to see it back in the air soon.

I hope the P-59 Airacomet will be in the air soon also.

The FJ-3 Fury is one of my favorites. I would love to see them restore that to flying status some day....

Great pics. And I'm glad it's not me getting picky on 1940s typography vs 21st Century Typography this time. 8)

great shots, thanks for taking the time to post them!

Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only font geek on here...and on the subject of GG, it would be great to see a different scheme on her when it comes time for a repaint; maybe something representative from the Pacific, with shark's mouths and some authentic nose art. Not to diminish her pedigree of course, but it sure would be nice to see.

Will GG be in Chino Oct 17 for the grand opening of the 475th FG's hanger? Any other P-38 besides the Museum's? BDK, you goin' to be there? I'm going!
I should be at the airport, most likely working in my hangar. PM me and I'll give you my cell phone number.

Haven't heard if Glacier Girl will be there then. Jack Croul's P-38 is based on the field too, so it might be in attendance.

Paste the URL onto the screen, highlight the picture URL, then click the "Img" button. Image tags will automatically be added on either side of the image URL.

P.S. P-59 won't fly this year. Too much to do and not enough people!

Hope you bought a Diet Dr. Pepper at least. Nobody came through with the pledged $50 donations from the Picadilly Lilly restoration thread... (except one sucker = me!) :x

I mailed mine in and it was little more than $50.00......
