It's a former RAF Lockheed Ventura.... the shape, and windows are a dead give away. The South Africans operated a bunch, and have a number in storage there today... at least 8, unless some have moved on.

That books a great read... well worth the effort. The story of how they got that empire class flying boat out of the river is quite a feat in aviation lore, and was an amazingly courageous exploit.
