This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

A question re Distribution of the mag in the US. Did anyone see the last issue (
No.72 -Skyraider Cover) on the shelves anywhere? I believe Barnes & Noble carry it.
We have had a change at this end with the forwarding of the magazine to the US, which is causing a few teething troubles
TIA
Dave
Hmmm..last month, I looked at B&N for the issue because of the Kingsbury Nieuport article.
Couldn't find it and ya'll weren't listed in the web search for titles they held. Should'a asked
a houman be'an.

Hello,
I really enjoy your magazine and have meant to subscribe for a long time (I even received a free issue so I am out of the running!) I buy your magazine at every opportunity but finding it is quite a problem. I live in Southern California and have made a bit of mental route of where to find your magazine (in fact finding it is kind of an adventure that I have come to enjoy). You can find it at the following Barnes & Noble's (and ONLY these): Woodland Hills, Manhattan Beach, Bakersfield and Fresno California. Usually the amount I have seen on the newsstand is 3 issues and usually these will sell out quickly. FYI, Warbirds Digest is also available at Barnes & Noble, Borders and select independent newsstands.

Thanks for confirming B&N DO carry it. I tried my local one and the "big" one over by NASA
but no luck. The title does not show up on the Barnes and Noble national website. I did
find a independent news stand that does carry it here in Houston.

Folks
Thanks for the info on distribution. We would actually like to get more copies on sale in the US, but as you can imagine the cost of shipping from here makes it a struggle!
We also lose about half the cover price to the retailer as well-so subscription is the ideal way to go for us (and all other specialist mags really).
Still four issues on my desk .....who wants?

Dave

Strewth Dave, I cant believe you haven`t been swamped in shouters. Your magazine in my opinion is probably the best warbirds mag about. Hate to say this but it`s even better than the Aussie one, which is great.

Of course it's better....no....just a bit different.
Availability in Perth and environs has been a bit hit and miss lately - I may have to start subscribing, seeing as I've been getting it since issue #1
(I haven't always lived in W.A.)

I've seen it there rather regularly and often have picked it up there.

Hi Dave, I got mine in the mail yesterday. Great stuff!!!!!!! Still looking forward to meeting you at Wanaka in April.

Thanks Henning, good to know.
Chris -Pleased it arrived in good order. Unfortunately I won't be at Wanaka for the show in 2010. If you have some free time, swing by Omaka (Blenheim) and we can show you around the Heritage Centre. We should have the FW190A-8/N up and running by then as well hopefully

Possible in the future - although I for one like to sit down and read something that isn't on a computer screen -call me old fashioned but there is something about holding a magazine or a book in your hand which is far more relaxing than clicking a mouse and scrolling. I spent 80 % of my waking hours doing that already!
Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Dave

Definitively agree Dave.
In fact, for Classic Wings, I would be ready to buy both the print and digital version (to ease the researches

!)
