yes, "the aircraft it will not fit" disclaimer was a gas!! but for 700.00 bucks it's a good deal. check the shipping charges with a microscope if any of you bid!! shipping f.o.b. truck line or ups is quite expensive now!!! & the regs??? if i list them all i'll have carpal tunnel for life.

This is indeed an early A-6, as has been mentioned (and I can assure you the seller most definitely knows what he's talking about!) The easiest way to tell is the lack of fairings, internal ammo cans (which is why the guns were staggered, these were later deleted and ammo was fed via chutes from cans outside of the turret) etc etc. This also has the early hand controller in it, which the replacement controller included in the auction is a later example. Overall not a bad turret all things considered, but needs a lot of work!

Somebody call the police! The A-6 turret project on ebay was stolen! $1,720.00 for that turret? Give me a break, the Navy turret manual groupings on ebay last year went for a combined price of over $1,000.00 and that was just a group of manuals for goodness sake.

Note to self: do not list turret parts on ebay with no reserve that have an auction end date of December 25th. :?
