It first flew around two years ago, but after just a couple of test flights the engine was found to need a complete re-build, which has only just been completed. This Storch only flew once post-rebuild and it was in March last year. It's a French-built example that possibly utilised a German fuselage frame.
Thanks for the clarification on the dates and number of flights Robbo. My information on it being an original German example is based on the fact that it is registered as an Fi-156 rather than a Criquet, and that the reg details include an original Werke Number and a construction date of 1942.
