OK, I guess I don't spend enough time here ... what have I missed about tramp stamps on warbirds?

And I echo the rest of the kudos on that shot. Is that the full frame? Or is there somewhere we can get the full rez, full frame shot? 8)

Simply put, most CAF aircraft now have a large CAF logo displayed prominently somewhere on the airframe, as part of an effort to give the organization "brand recognition" (on Sentimental Journey I believe it's just behind the cockpit, but has been Photoshopped out in this case.) I'm not sure if it was an order from CAF HQ, or just "strongly encouraged." Many here think the logos are ugly, and refer to them as "tramp stamps."

It's full frame, not cropped. 7D and 500mm lens. High rez shots are available only if I get paid, I don't give them away.

Thanks, Steve. :) I figured it out from another thread. Agreed, it is ugly. :x
