Re: Make a Wish foundation- help grant a wish for a sick kid

Fri Sep 17, 2010 4:55 pm

Please see my note on the WIX site under a new topic.

First, I responded to the message from Lu Ann that clearly in plain English said the child wanted "a flight in a old airplane". I didn't make this up,was only trying to help a child.

The idea that I was invading the privacy of the child or the family is false, and frankly I'd like to use a stronger word for it.
NEVER, NOT ONCE, DID I ASK THE CHILDS NAME OR HIS FAMILY NAME, ONLY AGE AND CONDITION AS THAT IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO WHAT TYPE OF PLANE IS BEST, MOST FUN AND SAFEST FOR HIM TO RIDE IN.

The tone of your post is insulting to someone who was try to help with your request.
And it appears that you feel a child who is ill has something to hide or be at blame for.

Finally, you'll notice that my post contains my real name, while yours hides behind the anonymity of the foundation. I don't think that is very genuine.

I only know Make A Wish as the general public from the outside, and I'd guess and I hope that you folks do a better job for the kids than in this communication.

WOAH NELLIE!

Bill, I really suggest you remove your post and take some time to read the message that was posted. Not a SINGLE word of what was in that post makes any of the accusations you claim. Where you got the idea that that person made any accusations against you, I don't know, but I read it as a post to inform everyone that the original posting was a bit irregular and explained why you may have gotten the impression that the person was being "hesitant" on the phone, not that you did anything wrong.
