Civilian mods on warbirds are looked down upon but they are just as historical as the warbird itself, in my mind. It's much more unique in it's executive guise. It is also the only reason it survives today.

Thanks for the information. It sounds like you ahve some intimate knowledge of the aircraft. I'd be interested in knowing more abotu the exhaust. It appears to be a close to standard early, full collector C/D exhaust, although it looks like someone put in a stainless fairing aft of the exhaust port. I was wondering if there were any further modifications to the exhaust to make it quieter? I'm also curious about anyfuselage modifications. Was the bombay lowered or fully removed? Did it have an "air stair" mod or did it use the standard boarding hatch?
