I had my picture taken in front of this N3N-3, c/n 2582 in September 1977 at EAA Chapter 124 picnic in Santa Rosa, CA. Oh to be 20 again!

Back then, 2582 was owned by Bob VanVranken. One day he planned a trip in his N with his wife around the US. With the help of EAA chapters along the way, he would be guests at members houses. Well members of the 613 invited him to VT so in 1980 on a summer day, we had a visitor!!!!!

He stayed at a members house in town and we babysat the airplane. This pic is taken from the porch of our house.

Thanks John, I had the V numbers but never the bureau!!!! I also never knew about the -1's serving the USCG.

195 was bought by Jack Tillman surplus and was restored in the early 70's by Jack. He had a fleet of sprayers but never converted this one. He flew all the CAM routes in the US in that airplane. My uncle bought it in 1986 and sold it in 2000. I flew it all over the northwest and got a few hundred hours in it. Always enjoyed flying it and had a lot of adventures in it. Don
