If I were to venture a guess I'd say the aircraft in question is 44-34172 ex- N4806E. This Invader has been in storage in the UK for a good many years.

Has it moved to France ?

Sounds like a 55 year old time capsule, straight from the military (USA or French ?) into storage.

The gunnery equipment is ultra rare, to have both turrets and the periscope / gun control system is a major plus. I only know about two of the periscope controls, one in a flying Invader (cant recall the name) and the other at the Air Force museum. Very few A26s have the lower turret.

This website has some information, including 6 PDF scans of the service manual for the central fire control system on the Invader:

go and take a look at the A-26 that Aero Trader is building for Mr Weeks......super impressive and stock everything.

Also the last of the Invaders built did not have the lower turret fitted but had an additional lower fuel tank...

The seller/ dealer is undoubtedly in France, but I think the aircraft is still in the UK. Possibly moved to the South of the country.

Now on Barnstormers as reduced because it is unsold or "parting out"
