AFAIK, Boeing moved most of their support operations to OC-ALC (Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center) several years ago because all of their KC-135 and KC-10 support had been done there for years anyway and the Air Force wanted to consolidate their depots. By moving the B-52 and B-1B to OC-ALC, they went from having 5 Boeing Depot-Level Maintenance locations to 2 - St. Louis (for the Eagles) and Tinker (for everything else).
