Any way to collect donations through this web site, we know a trusted one from this website would make sure the funds got into the right hands.

First off, I am truly saddened that it appears that Amanda passed away today.
Second, the Moonlight Funds folks are absolutely trustworthy. They have an excellent reputation in the airshow community and were at the Burnet Airshow and gave a presentation to all of us who were in the pilot briefing about the Franklins. Kyle will still need help...

It is with a broken heart that I tell you that my beautiful girl Amanda passed away at 10:10 central time this evening. Beside her was her adoring husband Kyle, her mother Jeanie, her brother Matt, her sister-in-law Michelle and her devoted mother-in-law Audean.

Thank you all again for your love,

Goodnight and God bless Amanda,

Kyle

This has deeply affected me. On a break tonight at a gig I started crying for a very long time and I didn't even know she was already gone. Blue skies.

I only met her briefly, and exchanged some notes on Facebook, but am deeply saddened.

Add me to the lengthy list of those typing through tears this morning. I added Kyle as a friend on Facebook shortly after the accident so I could keep up with their recovery, and it's been absolutely soul-searing to read Kyle's updates as Amanda would waver between getting better and getting worse. I cannot imagine how incredibly hard it must be for him right now.

Rest in blessed peace, Amanda.

Fair winds and following seas, Amanda. God's blessings to your family in this time of great sorrow.

AMANDA FRANKLIN was one of the most fearless people I have ever met.
Thanks for all the air shows Amanda and Kyle made just a bit better.
A true loss

a sad day for all.......

My favorite passage:
The Ship by Dr. Harold Blake Walker

I am standing on the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch her until at length she lands like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says, 'There, she's gone.' Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spars as when she left my side, and just as able to bear her load of living freight to their place of destination. Her diminished size is in me and not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, 'There, she's gone!', there are other eyes that are watching her coming and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, 'There she comes!'".

After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air. And so we will be with the LORD forever. 1 Thess. 4:17
