Sidebar-I got an e mail yesterday from HFF and they are going to take 'GRUMPY' to Dayton for the Doolittle Raiders Reunion in 2012.

They're doing Dayton again this year coming up? I thought last year was the only time Dayton would be it: Or have they changed to a set location now the Raiders are so few :( ... And this year is the 70th, isn't it...

Last year it was in The Sac Museum wasn't it? The year before it was Dayton. This is being billed as the final reunion of the Doolittle Raiders. I already booked hotel rooms across the street in the new hotel there. Last time I checked there were 7 rooms left. I heard that there are now 30 confirmed B-25's planning on attending.

According to the Raiders website, the reunion will be Tue 4/17 to Fri 4/20. Probably no way I could get the time off work in the middle of the week. :(

I don't know how yet but I think I must go too. Work is flexible just of matter of places to stay and things like that. Is there camping allowed? This trip will be on the hard and cheap.

Hi John, not sure about camping, but there are some really cheap hotels not far away. PM for help if you need it.

There are camp grounds in the area, just type camgrounds dayton ohio in the search engine. Good luck finding a hotel room :drink3:
