Were the large chunks of Hellcat ever recovered from 29 Palms USMarine Base?

I hope they paint over the hideous greenhouse behind the cockpit!

They are reworking it to make emergency egress possible so they can (hopefully) sell rides!!!

As far as the aircraft going up for sale, I have heard nothing to even suggest that scenario, even as a thought. With tight finances (especially in today's environment) I seriously doubt the museum would spend the money to paint it if they were going to sell it. New paint would not affect the asking price of that rare an aircraft by enough to justify the expense ( asking price would still be $ X.X million with or without new shine.).

Here are my shots taken a few weeks ago of the Air Zoo entombed Hellcat.
I actually got to see this aircraft fly when it was on the airshow scene.
As the photo shows it is tightly packed into a hanger with other historic and interesting as well as flyable aircraft. It is also hard to get a good picture as the aircraft were tightly packed in and the floors are spotless and clean but they also cast a weird reflected light.
