John/Blake & P-63 Folks:

Tks for posting those missing P-63Es.

Blake: Any chance to ask pilot Ben Brown where did he get his training on P-63s?? He may have some photos of his training base poss Cincinnati, OH ATC.

I'm curious about the black numbers under the left wing of the bare metal scheme P-63 aircraft & their meaning. Tks

Thanks for posting the photos the P-63 restoration projects John. Good stuff! Do you know if anyone has attempted to estimate how many P-63s are out there as incomplete projects?

I did exchange letters with former ferry pilot Ben Brown for many years but he has since passed away. He loved flying and flew regularly almost to the end. He told me that flying the P-63 Kingcobras to Alaska during WWII was the most fun flying he did. Ben collected a lot of memorabilia and some P-63 related stuff but exactly what I can't say. I have copied most of his photos and I'm sure there are P-63 shots. I'll take a look and see if anything might be worth posting.
