I'm hoping local units can take up a little of the slack. For example, perhaps the A-10s based at Whiteman AFB can fly some sort of spiced-up flyby for that show. Not as elaborate as what the A-10 demo teams had been doing, but something to keep Warthogs flying in front of the public.

Call today to reserve the Collings F-4D Phantom , A-4 Skyhawk, T-33 Shooting Star and the F-100 Super Sabre for your local airshow ! You don't have to worry about those last minute DoD cancellations with these jets ! True, they'll cost a little more but when we contract we show up ! ( barring mechanical and severe weather , of course ! ) Let your local airshow coordinator know we're ready and available !) :drink3:

You tell 'em, Rick! Those Collings jets would be the STAR attraction at any air show. If there is at least one show in 2012 with all 4 of those jets, it will be the show of the year. If you can do it at Houston in October 2012 I will be there again for sure.

:D

Agreed. Maybe this will be good for seeing vintage jets at airshows, despite the cost of bringing them in. The general public loves seeing jets. Maybe more airshows will start springing for the F-4, F-100, Skyhawks, T-33s, F-86s, MiG-15/17/21s, etc. This could end up being a good thing for jet warbird operators.

I LIKE the way you think. Vintage Jets and other warbirds are what I go to see at air shows.

Better to have one team than none at all.
