To an extent I agree. I volunteered a few times on B-17 projects and like you said, my knowledge wasn't what was wanted, it was my money. I understand that the bills are paid by dues and donations but when volunteers are there, what the F$%K. A couple of times when I would volunteer, like what was said in the above post, there were easily 20 people standing around waiting for the catered lunch so they could eat free. That lunch cost someone some money. I think at times that at the location where aircraft are being restored, there is a person with the title of being in charge, but no one there who actually acts like they are in charge. I guess that was another reason I stopped volunteering, maybe I'll go to Illinois and help Desert Rat. :drinkers:
