the background does not look like Oregon to me, maybe they were taken in the Fort Worth area of Texas.

Interesting...the photos are from Meacham Field in Ft. Worth and the caption says
"A very rare Japanese fighter recovered from the Kuril Islands North of Japan and restored to flying condition"

Shouldn't it say something along the lines of ...A faithful reproduction based on the pattern provided by ... a very rare Japanese fighter recovered from the Kuril Islands North of Japan and restored to flying condition?

Nice to see this project did not just vanish.

Zane the jealous the are not still in Ft. Worth...

They had 2 problems...1st was a ground loop ... tail wheel trouble I think.

And a side load type gear collapse...

this comes from my memory...so use it accordingly

What updates, other than it has flown several times at Tillamook? or are you talking about the others, one of which has been on display at MofF for some months?
