I love the shot of the line of ADs! Amazing you could walk to the edge of the lien and take photos!

Sorry to mislead you Chappie, I did not take the picture. It is a USN picture which I got a copy of via NAS Atlanta Reunion Group.
Cheers Bill

I remember seeing that Skyraider at the big EAA Fly-In at Tullahoma in 1979. Yagen owns it now, saw it in Monroe last Nov.

Just for the record. P-51D 44-72483 was acquired by the Salvadoran air force in July 1969, sometime after the armed conflict ended July 18. Returned to the USA in 1974.
I don't remember having one, but will search my FAS photos and try to find '411'.

My Dad worked for epps back in the 60s and I would get to climb all over the AD.The pictures of the wrecked F4U and PBY are the birds my Dad talked about being in the dump there at the airport.Anyone remember where the dump was on the property? There was a lot of cool stuff there all the way up to the 80s of the old base.It was over by where the dot keeps their vehicles now.I love the picks and thank you for posting.
