Important client who books me for weekends at a time, pays fast, and likes my work for them better than anything they've gotten from anyone else.
Yeah, I'm gonna miss the beer tent. The good thing is that, once I've gotten the hook deeply stuck, it'll be lots easier to convince myself to make the trek next year....

In some ways, it's perhaps a good idea to have a brief orientation visit for a few hours or a couple of days before coming back next time with a better idea of what it's about to do the thing 'properly'. Certainly my first Oshkosh visit of only a few days made the next visit for the whole week a better organised experience. And I'll be back*.
This is also making a virtue of a necessity...

Nice try on spinning the One Day at Oshkosh, James. But this is just not a case where less is more. It's like saying, "Yeah, I hooked up with Kate Upton but only got to first base, but it's better this way because I got an orientation so I can do it properly next time." Sure, dude.
The one thing I will say for One Day at Oshkosh: it beats one day just about anywhere else.*

*Maybe even one day with Kate Upton.

So far my life failed to include this Upton creature, now having had a quick look on the internet, thanks to August's pointer, I can see something that comes a poor third to a Gibson girl and a Mae West for credible curves. Ptooi. Now if it was that nice Scarlett lassie...
Quickly back to Oshkosh, one day there is indeed better than no day there, and if you consider it being in part for orientation upon the inevitable return, it'll work better (than running around trying to see everything and failing)...

Credible? My good sir, those curves are real. There is a data plate to prove it.

Amazing how that Cessna Pilot in the flight suit's expression looked just like mine when told I would be soloing for the first time
