At the moment all I can access is the same information as the rest of you, i.e. google.
Anyway, Franklin-engines.com says the military 0-300 was produced from 1941 to 1945 and was used in the Culver PQ-14. Not exclusively, I'm sure.
I think there is some damage along the ridges or cooling fin looking things. That "dip" in the ridges, I don't think is supposed to be there.
For Mfr No. you have 5-something, could it be 3-something? If so, that would agree with the serial number information I found as belonging to the later production run of those engines,
e.g. 1946.

A little more research....the 17th Tow Target Squadron was based at Wheeler AAF Base in 1944. Hmmm. A little warmer.

Just looked again. It is MFRS NO 5-5203X3 (X unreadable). Manufacturers part number? Or Manufacturers serial number.
Oh....this is fun!!!

Here are some PQ-8A's Drones in Hawaii. The PQ-8A used the 125 hp Lycoming O-290 engine. So...not the same as a PQ-14, but a cool wartime drone picture in Hawaii.

Todd,
Thanks! I was already on fold3 looking when you posted that (hence the date stamps of our posts - one minute apart)!! I remembered some drone pics on the site in Hawaii. I really like fold3!
