Yup, I ran across it here in Houston back around February or March. Combat! airs in the hour previous to TOH. I began about halfway into the Lansing episodes and that lasted until about July or August to finish the color ones before the loop started again. Here's the episode guides etc. They're very handy to ID the actors and what they did later as well as shoot locations.

Thanks for the episode guide. Lansing leaves the show?! Bummer! I think he does a great job, my wife likes him too. Right now I'm about a week behind. And it goes to color? Doesn't that kind of ruin it?

Dang.....

Quote:
While trying to get sponsors for this series the producers approached the Volkswagen executives and showed them the pilot show which featured actual bombing footage from the war. During the film one of the executives recognized the plant that was being bombed as the VW plant which had made cars for the German army at the time. He commented, "There goes our plant", and the executives then and there decided not to sponsor the show.

Your welcome! Sorry bout that! 45 years later and it was insensitive of me to forget the spoiler alert...mea culpa. Yeah Lansing was great.... I thought the show was better with him in it and it was more of a drama. Hollywood kinda adventured-it-up in the later writing, but it was all fun. (Spoiler alert! Watch out for that Paul Burke kid!)

As for color, that's not until the 3rd season...you've got a while yet. It was the bees knees in 1966-67. We had a new Montgomery Wards installment plan console color TV hi-fi stereo with the auto turntable purchased with air force staff sargeant pay. Already rabid airplane nuts we were also new members of the Dallas IPMS...we critiqued the bejeebers outta that show...tall cotton baby! Kit bashing and flying by day...combat missions at night after supper.
