The media are using the same tactics they used to lose the Viet Nam war. Let's hope they lose this time. She may become the Jane Fonda of the war on terror. There is no choice we must win despite these Commies.

THought I'd share this recent e-mail from David Dohnal, a U.S. Marine currently serving in Iraq, who agrees with OscarDeuce...

"This is a war of patience... The dirt bags are on the throes otherwise they wouldn't be blowing up Iraqi people... I do know that they (the insurgents) are counting on the American people, not the American Armed Forces, to give up... The thing that does suck though is seeing the stuff on CNN and knowing that the dirt bags here get a little morale boost because they are seeing what they want to see – so if you can spread as much word as possible to let people know that we are doing what needs to be done, and doing it pretty well."

After watching the hurricane rescues on TV....

You might ask the "Peace & Justice" group if they have any helicopters plucking people off rooftops.

I have to add my two pennies into this I guess.

Even though I may not agree with what they are doing, they still have the freedom of speech to do so.

However, since I am a wounded Desert Storm Vet with a disability, I have to look at it two fold. One, hate the protesters, and yet the freedom I helped protect, is a freedom they must and can use.

Now, I also may not agree with what is going on in Iraq. What I dont agree on is the fact that we have our troops being ill-equiped to fight an enemy in a warfare that is not a common warfare they have trained for.

If our troops are going to be there, give them the equipment and objectives they need, finish the job and get them home.

I feel for the woman, she is heart broken that her son is dead, and this maybe the only outlet that she can focus on. However, I think there are more educational methods in doing so, instead of picketing our troops.

Write to your senator, write to the president, scream yell and beat up the phone lines to the politicians that are dragging their feet, but leave our troops alone. They have enough to worry about.

I thank god everyday I survived Desert Storm, and only worry about my cousin, who is set to go to Iraq in a few months. ( he is only 20 ) I don't want him to go, but I am proud that is he is going. Point is Dont Protest our troops, they are only doing the job they signed up to do.

Protest those rich bastards in the capital that can't seem to make heads or tails of anything, incluing this new disaster in New O!

Hmmm,

Thats wonderful, I am late getting to this story and its rediculous frenzy in the media.

A co-worker came up to me about three days ago and said that "My friend was going to be at the Brunswick airshow" I asked who he was talking about, he replied "Cindy Sheehan" I had no idea who he was talking about. He explained the story and how she was going to be protesting at the Brunswick airshow next weekend. I said thats great!
Form a protest at an airshow. where there is alot of noise and people who are there for a relaxing afternoon, and are willing to sit in traffic, are willing to sit in the sun all day in a sea of other people to see what they came for. This circus and all its media hype are not going to be a deterrent to those who like airshows, we have seen it before and it will be there again and again.
The fact that she is going to use the Blue Angels as a tool to promote her opinion is silly, it can work two ways. Everybody knows who the Blue Angels are and have most likely seen them at some point in their lives. They are an American symbol as important to some as the Bald Eagle and the stars and stripes, and maybe even Baseball.
Go use your PA system all day long and hopefully we will just catch a few words inbetween the sounds of OUR Favorite American Pastime!

I like the Shredding idea, but why waste your time, Enjoy the Show!

SEE YOU THERE!

This all kind of reminds me of a time I was at the Reno Air Races a few years back. We were all sitting around our friend's RVs in the field after the races on Saturday evening when a homeowner came up to us with a petition trying to shutdown the air races. We all wondered if this lady really understood why we had come to the show in the first place. We just laughed it off and sent her on her way :D

We must limit politicians to two terms:
one in office and one in jail.

When "The Lurker" and I arrived yesterday AM , there were about a dozen 'testers outside the main gate. Nobody seemed to interested, no horns honking, nothing  . I think we all had the usual case of "Where are De Planes?!!!!!!!" 8) . Not a lot of aircraft, the USAF hardly showed up(2-F16s, 2-A10s, 1-T38) There was an FW159(?) The Belle and Skyboss were there with a Marine SNJ and PT17. And the S.O.C. Skydivers demo team Flew in a in a CA-1 COD. Cluster F___ Leaving base, the worst traffic control I've ever seen at BNAS. Also, got to see the Angels high show for the first time, all other times being the low show 8) 8) .

Indeed. And Cindy Sheehan's

So, people who are against the war in Iraq are Communists then?? That pretty much mean commies rule the world and America must have lost another war

Rob,

Yes, I did notice that. I was speaking with tongue firmly in cheek mate. I wasn't having a go. Just stirring!

Chill mon... 8)

Having said that I don't have anything against people who try to stop war. Good on them. And I have nothing against people marching for a cause, that''s part of freedom, the right to make others aware of your plight or your campaign. Fair enough. I don't mind them doing what they do at public events so long as they don't disrupt that event.

But if they're trying to stop airshows, I should bloody coaoa! Airshows are entertainment, escapism, history alive, excitement, recognition, remembrance, thrills, and many other things.

Of all the things an airshows do, they do not cause war or contribute to it. Wars are caused by politicians and businessmen and they are the ones who should be made accountable, not the servicepeople running an airshow or the public coming to see it. So if they want to protest it should in my opinion be with adequate discretion.
