Would anybody have any info on the B-17G at 1:02, its nose art is very interesting and with 50 bomb tallies on her next to the name American Beauty? I think it would be interesting to see the history of the crew and the plane itself.

To the people operating the slicer/smelter it was probably at the time just a job that needed to be done. It's easy for us to sit here today and think coulda, woulda, shoulda. Those people were merely doing their job same as we do without a nary a second thought! :?

There may well have been another (or more) "American Beauty", but the page does state it was scrapped at Kingman.
