Has it been said where the A-20 in the US are going, as in how owns them? or is that one of those not talked about things?

Thanks for posting! They are great shots, I can't Wait fro Yeagan to receive his A/C.

Hi Wolverine

At least 3 Kingfishers possibly a fourth

First one is based on an Australian Airframe - other two sourced from US collectors to whom they will be returning - I will research the serials for you

Two Vengances - both RAAF Mk11s serials will be posted ASAP

TimApNy

I can't honestly remember who is the recipient of the A20s - I Imagine Weeks/ Yeagan/ Banta would be the suspects here. Murray will apparently be keeping Big Nig for himself. Again I will try to find out more and post .

Regards
John p

Weeks owns an A-20--so I think we can rule him out.

I would imagine that A27-41/EZ925 and A27-247/AF929 are the Vengeances. The ones at Precision are ex-Whale World, right? If so, that means that these are the ones. Are they under restoration now, or will they be restored at a later date?

Thanks...

how many os2u kingfishers will be on landing gear vs pontoons?? the kingfisher has always been among my top 10 favorites from the great story aspect, & i like it's lines with pontoons. it is a documented fact that a kingfisher shot down a japanese zero, it was the pilot that nailed the zeke with his forward firing 30 caliber guns. talk about a mismatched battle!!! thats like me kicking schwartzneggers ass!!!

I wouldn't rule Kermit out of an Aussie A20 just yet - funny things happen.....

You are correct on the serials on the vengances - as far as I know those and the complete one with Harold Thomas are the sole survivors world wide. No they aren't yet started as all the other work is ahead of them but there is ahuge stores holding and it will happen in time.

Tom

I don't know the mix of floats and gear machines - I imagine they will be supplied with both - there is at least one very good set of floats so patterns will not be an issue and attachments are pretty straightforward - must say I would rather they were on floats as the gear looks a bit ugly like a stick insect?.

One is for Murray himself and there isn't a lake at the airfield so I suppose his will be on gear most of the time? .... Mick G any ideas?

A Wirraway (in the AWM) which is similar to an early Harvard of the RAAF shot down a Zero as well so it could be done - I bet they kissed the ground when they landed !!

Any s/n updates, Setter?

Are you implying he'd sell his A-20? It does have an interesting history.

I've assumed he wouldn't because
a) He's already got one
b) He's having a Duck, P-35, L-1, and a P-51A restored
c) He's not restoring a lot right now because he's trying to build a new museum hangar.
d) He's saving money for said hangar
e) When he's finished with the aformentioned projects, he'll likely begin work on his P-38, Hellcat, Lysander, Lancaster, B-17(s), etc

Anybody have an idea why he's building the new hangar? Is it because he's going to restore a B-17 or B-29?

Sorry to go somewhat off topic.

I wonder if Paul Allen has displayed interest?
