Awesome, Brandon...I just knew you were up for the challenge!

Now who owns the Chrysler 2220? I've always had this crazy fantasy of someone (with the financial wherewithall, of course) rebuilding some of the razorback Jug remains out there into an XP-47H.

I'm sure I've got 3420 photos from both Dayton and Polk City (somewhere betwixt & between the piles of old airplane mags my kids used for coloring books when young & mischievous).

Oh well...

8)

The Chrysler is at the New England Air Museum, as are most of those photos. The Ranger, I-16, and 1820 are at the Seattle MoF restoration annex.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

I have a copy of Bill Gunston's "Encyclopedia of Aero engines". It was published slightly later than the previous offering. :) The pics are adequate but not brilliant. Depending on copyright of particular shots, it could be an option.
