xb - 24 - n has better looking lines than before it was "privateered" w/ the higher tail!!! just like the the b-17 graft posted earlier...... looks are important!! 8)

40-697 seems to be lacking the waist gun hatches; were those first added on the A model?

RAAF B-24D's had nose turrets fitted probably in Townsville...also flew J, L and M models.

That is an interesting question. It does seem to be of similar configuration to the H-5.

Z- was the code for the Las Vegas Gunnery School. Note the other modified turrets and gun positions; I'm guessing this was one of the stopgap trainers for B-29 gunners.
