Warbird Information Exchange

One place you may try is Anniston Army Depot. They maintain the Army repository for museum pieces -- all the weapons and vehicles etc. that are of historic value. While I doubt they would have the information, they would probably be able to direct you in the right direction.

The primary mission of Army Museums is to support the post's mission - not the public. Usually they do this by providing insight into the post's history, comparative analysis between vehicles etc...

You are no doubt correct as this was the response from The Ft. Rucker Aviation Museum, direct and to the point:

Classification: UNCLASSIFIED
Caveats: NONE

Sir –

We do not retain the records you are inquiring about. The only log books the museum holds are for those aircraft that are in the collection. If you do not have the logs or historical records for that aircraft, there is an excellent chance that they no longer exist.

Update: 03/06/2014

We contacted the National Archives who found nothing in their files and they sent us on to The U.S. Army main records department where we were forwarded to another Army Officer who was supposed to be able to locate the information. He in turn sent us to another officer who after a week sent us to the Ft. Rucker Army Base with a person and contact phone number. That individual instructed us to contact the Ft. Rucker Army Aviation Museum. but we let them know that we had already been there. All possible avenues have now been exhausted but we have placed an ad on Barnstormers to see if anyone may have a personal contact that knows how to access the individual aircraft files.

I am not sure of what information you are looking for, but I have been disposing of many DOD Surplus Sales Catalogs and have a handful of T-41B disposals listed.
T-41B Army Serial 67-15139 located at Fort Hood, TX offered on 24 Apr 73, however sale was cancelled by DOD.
T-41B Serial 715132 Otis AFB, MA offered 13 Aug 80 and sold to Texas Turbo Jet, Dallas, TX.
T-41B Serial 67-15088, Cessna #R-1720089 located Elmendorf AFB, AK offered 11 Feb 81, purchased by Industrial Pump Sales, Belle Chasse, LA for $5800.00, but was relisted at Elmendorf on 8 July 81, buyer unknown.
T-41B Serial 67-15130 located Watervliet Arsenal, NY offered 21 July 83, buyer unknown.
T-41A Serial 172-52804, N5119F located Offutt AFB, NE offered on 28 APR 97 and sold to J.W. Duff, Denver, CO for 6288.88.
