Just a reminder! The airshow is this coming weekend!

Thanks for the heads-up, Brad.

For the handful of us that won't be attending, will the OFM Corsair be making any other appearances this year (to your knowledge)? She sure is a looker.

Here's to a safe and successful show. I hope the weather is kind to you folks.

Brad, I just re-read the part about choice of colours, (I like it better each time I see it BTW).
You mentioned that there are mugs and T-shirts with these markings. Is there any chance of seeing or maybe buying a T-shirt or two? (I'm an XL :D )

We have no plans to take the airplane anywhere else. Olympia and maybe a one or two other events in Western Washington, close to home, but nothing else is planned. Actually, nothing in Western Washington is even planned right now.

As for shirts and such: they exist, we just don't have any yet!

Crying shame I'll be missing Fifi's arrival on Thursday but I'll see her flying during the weekend. Does anyone know if she'll be flying on Friday? I'm taking my 1944 Willys Jeep up there on Friday. I haven't seen that plane flying since the 90s...

If I show up dressed like Pappy Boyington, can I get a picture taken in the cockpit?

That would be cool Speedy, I know that Brad (P) is a big fan of reenactors. :)

Of course, I'D be reenacting Robert Conrad as the TV version of Pappy Boyington.....

Man, the OFM folks just can't win for weather (it's been several years since the last show where the weather was really good) but there's no way they can work around that. At least it only threatened to rain a little bit on Saturday morning. But the overcast made photography tough. Again, nothing to the people at the museum can do about that.

Did anyone get any good shots of the corsair flying? I was over by my re-enacting group and while I did get to see her flying, I didn't get any good shots. Anyone know why the Tora T-6/zero bailed at the last second on Sunday's flight against the corsair?
Man, that Corsair looked great. It was almost worth a decade of not seeing her fly to see the amazing condition she's in now!
:drink3:
Also, we lucked up on Friday, got overflown by a B-25 heading south from Everett, a B-17 then B-24 (Collings) heading North, and a B-29 either in the air or on the field at the same time as all of them...

Some fantastic photos from the show can be seen in this album here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/bngphotos ... 773507817/

The Corsair is absolutely stunning!

I was driving east on I-80 near Des Moines on the 11th and saw what I'm pretty certain was Fifi flying low over the city. Does this fit with her recent travels? Any help appreciated, thanks.

Brad taught me a long time ago to not bother posting on subjects I don't know the whole story on so I don't. The original thread got locked but I came across this and thought it was too funny not to post. Sounds like something Brad would say! I am glad everyone is safe, it was a good airshow and we are enjoying the fruits of someone else's money and hard labor to see these planes fly.

Brad, do you think Pappy entered the Corsair like you do?

Does anyone know when (or if) Fifi left Olympia? A co-worker of mine asked and I have no idea...
