Mine actually flew a bit better on the front engine.
Seemed to have better cooling too.
I would rather run the front at full throttle than the rear given the choice based on cooling alone.
I asked 26 Military O2 pilots which engine they would rather lose, 13 said front 13 said rear.

During my check ride I had to stop and feather an engine. I chose the front so I could see it, but with the rear at full throttle, 1/2 fuel and 2 pax, was about -125-250 fpm, and the rear temps started creeping up with OAT 68f. All this about 3500agl/4500asl
