Charlie Rothe in New York reported in November 2000 that he "worked on an AT-21 at Spartan school of aero. in 1950-51 I was there under an Air Force contract along with 299 other Air Force men. The AT-21 was used by us students along with 2 BT-13's and 2 AT-9's and a UC-78. That was in another lifetime!!!!! "

This was purchased by Bob Sturges along woth the Universtiy's P-40M now with Stephen Grey.

According to my newly-acquired copy of "Military Aircraft Boneyards" USC at one time had 12 aircraft including:

BT-13B 42-89682,
C-46A 42-3656
P-47D 42-23278
P-59A 44-22614
P-38J 44-23314
P-63A 42-68894
B-17F 42-6073

and a AT-6, UC-78 and B-25 for which no serials are quoted - that makes ten out of twelve, anyway. Fantastic William T. Larkins Photo. I should have bought this book much earlier.
