No one doubts you have the Migs for sale, this is not the issue. But you DO NOT HAVE THE ONE belonging to Cavanaugh, which is the one you were advertisting. The bigger issue here is not what you are selling, which no one really cares all that much about, but the ILLEGAL use of the copyrighted material belonging to Cavanaugh in your original add.

It looks like a fool will laugh at anything.

People conduct their affairs in different ways around the world.

That being said, the business model of coming on to the premier discussion site for warbirds and antagonizing potential customers makes no sense.

He’s not selling jets, he’s selling things like the EUROCO Corporation Stinger DSI (Legal intelligent Radar detector).

Quote:
DSI Computer
With our pioneering background as a European market leader and innovator in the field of high-end radar detectors, we have spent more than 12 years gathering customer input. After marrying up these customer ideas with our own wish list, we set to work on developing the new Stinger three years ago. The initial R&D phase revealed that we could produce something much more beautiful and unique than we initially had in mind. And if it can be done bigger and better, we won't hesitate to make it bigger and better. The downside of Stingers endless perfectionism is that development was significantly delayed. On the upside, we have produced a dream product. No other consumer product can match its brilliance.

DSI Computer The 'DSI Computer' is a modular computer system for motorists, consisting of a Computer Center and multiple connecting modules. The entire machine is operated via the 'Memory Display' module, a 'Graphic User Interface'.

The DSI is highly future proof, not least because of its modular design: to activate a new development, all the user needs to do is to click on a new module in the Computer Center. Furthermore, the PC Interface software can be used to download updates from this website. All these features combined means the DSI is a valuable investment for years to come.

World exclusive: Military precision in your car The Spectrum Analyzer is by far the most eye-catching module. This unique Stinger invention is based on the 'laboratory spectrum analyzer', a relatively large and expensive device used by institutes that deal with professional and applied scientific research for precision measurements and analyses in the field of microwave signals. Due to its compact size, the Stinger Spectrum Analyzer can be quickly and easily built into your car, and is reasonably inexpensive. But that's not all. Our engineers have been able to combine this Spectrum Analyzer with a 'patch antenna', based on military technology, applied in F-16 fighter jets and intelligent Rocket Launcher Systems. The 'patch antenna guarantees not only razor-sharp precision but is also an essential aid for the extreme sensitivity of the DSI.

I mean, the combination radar detector/voice scrambler/garage door opener is cool and everything, but what I really want is a portable EMP generator.

Just for laughs.

EDIT: Fixed broken link.

Scottish dudes speak english, Right?

I ain't been to Scottland, or England for that matter, but that kind O accent wouldn't even work good on the mars colony.

Eurodude, I hate to say it, but you outdo Rob in the unintelligible "English" typing department. No one can do that. That leads me to believe you don't be speakin english first, and you're a bad typer/ist.

I'm Scottish too, just like everyone else on international Macallan/Knockando/Speyside day. Just like I'm Irish on St Patricks day and Chinese on the real new years day.

I'd crack on the fact that you're here, and responding the way you are, but you did all the fun work for me.

Thats cool Eurodude. Whenever you get a line on YAK-3's, IL2's, and sunken Stuka's, post here first, Please. Pictures. We need Pictures. Your Pictures. I can see Cavanaugh's aircraft elsewhere.

I like ya Eurodude, you made my day a little brighter. Keep posting baby!

Needle and Doug,

Does CFM have a written copyright to the photos on the webpage? If so, that would be the way to go with eBay. Tell eBay that photos on their website are in violation of copyrights, then they will probably halt the auction (or at least remove the photos). After looking at the CFM page on the MiG-21 and some other pages, I would suggest a photo credit and "C" symbol by each picture. This won't stop all people from using the photos for commercial gain, but it helps with websites and web based auctions because the ISP's don't want to become tangled in copyright violations.

It may also be worthwhile to change the website pictures to ones for which CFM has a firm copyright. Let me know if I can help here as CFM (Kevin) already has a copyright release for my photos.

Photographic copyright infringement is common on eBay. I recently notified Boeing of an individual on eBay selling photos with a copyright owned by Boeing.

Regards,
Curt

I think you ALL need to chill out and get back on track and start talking warbirds again. I don't see where the ebay ad was a attempt to decieve or defraud the museum and I believe that's the spirit of the copywrite laws. The poster just was too lazy put something together on his own and cut and pasted instead.
I actually had one of my photos downloaded and used has the cover label for a CD-Rom of AT-6 manuals. Now that's a diiferent story.
Rob, you should concentrate on the positive and fun side of things instead of trying to police the world.
Just my 2 cents.........flame suit on!!

Dear Sir
What a pleasure to see that someone on this sight see,s it for what it is worth , yes you could be correct,!!!! at that time i was lazy to write some article up , neverthelless there was no Fraud intended, i feel as that some people here should stop trying to police the world. Now you have no idea who i am, yes of course you can make your little snide comments, Now regards to other items that are on our website etc so what. they are all correct .

Now I think the gentleman who wrote before me,!!! is correct ,take note to his statement.

Leave it alone gentlemen !!!!!! ah these planes are not in the US none of them plus all aircraft are 100% de mil,

For terms and cond , read our website simple

Now Photos information i have no problem with people using mine i have hundreds that we have taken , feel free to ask for some.

So my point is clear if anyone wants to have help or details on aircraft , or parts , then you can go to our site and threw the site you can ask .

I BID YOU ALL GOOD DAY

Grant

I think it has gone on enough. But to your comment about not defrauding the museum. If you look at the first post, the museum did get some questions about if we were selling the Mig. We have had this happen many times in ads. The Wixers were informed that it wasn't for sale and ebay was informed that the info was not correct. That's what you do to protect your stuff. The rest just turned into a rant.
