I know Gerald Yagen has a P-63 on display at Virginia Beach and looked thru the FAA registry both Gerald Yagen and Training Services list 92 aircraft and didn't see a P39 registered. But then his P63 isn't listed, will never fly. His Fiat is listed , still being rebuilt in Germany. Where is his P39 located?

I should also imagine a few more FHC things might make progress too? ME262? F-86? Maybe something German?

Doug Matthews' Sabre might be another possibility.

When I visited Midwest in 2015 Mike and his crew had Frenesi pretty well along but the wing had not been attached yet. Another friend of mine delivered FF-330 there not too long ago. I don't know what the depth of work will be done to that machine but it was a 30+ year old restoration.

Art Teeters has atleast 3 Mustangs that are really close to being done...Kermit elected to go with the cannon wing in his A model, so it is getting brand new wings...that won't be done for awhile.

I saw photos of Polar Bear today...it is stunning...if anyone is on Facebook go to Pacific Fighters' page, they just put up 24 photos of recent progress.

Tri-State should have Beck's A model back up and running soon

The shop to watch will be Klaers, there are several projects that are being worked on that will be real head turners.

Jim

That doesn't sound unrealistic. And, although not a restoration, their Mosquito should arrive from New Zealand and be flying next year (in a new, permanent colour scheme) too.

The Goose is important because since it's a civil transport type (although this airframe is ex-RAF and USN), as such, it's often overlooked.
While clearly no Mustang or Corsair in terms of combat history, it's one of those airplanes that people assume there are more out there then there really are. So any restoration is important.

This airframe was basically an abandoned project, basically a hulk, when it was a museum display, so it's great that the Pemberton team is spending a lot of time, money and effort getting it in the air again.

Best of all, I've been promised a ride...it will be my first in a flying boat/amphibian, and my first flight in a Grumman. Neat stuff!

Don't forget about his Dragon Rapide.

Has anyone mentioned that maybe, and it is probably a big maybe that the P-59 of Fighter Rebuilders at Chino might fly in 2017? I know this aircraft has been close for a couple of years now. But hey who knows.

C-97 is done. Ready to fly. We're just waiting on the FAA concerning crew relief. (No one's current in a C-97)

Barring any major MX issues, we ought to be out there a bit in 17.

forgot about this one..... would love to hear 4 4360s turning... question//who approves take offs and landings from Floyd Bennett field, since its closed?

The FAA. There will only be one takeoff. It will not return to FBF. I believe other than Police Helos, the C-97 will be the last aircraft to use Floyd Bennetts runways.

Not sure if FHC's F-86A is under restoration: I did some research for it a good few years ago and assumed it would have flown by now.
