I think that may have been Jurgis Kairys - his displays at Wanaka in an I-16 were truly breathtaking!

Like DaveM2 mentioned, at Wanaka '98 there were five I-16s and three I-153s. From memory four of the pilots involved have since died but I believe the majority of the other four still fly warbirds...Dave may be able to correct me.

So how much of these Ratas are actually from the original aircraft? Is there anything more than a data plate? Is there even a data plate?
